Scope and Contents
The Office of Information Services collection dates from 1971-2002 in 1.25 linear feet and contains executive and general memorandum from the separate departments along with announcements, meeting minutes, newsletters, and training schedules for on campus computer use since the installation of personal computers at Purdue University Calumet. Biographical or Historical Information
The original computer/technology department on campus was Computing, Telecommunication User Services (CTUS/CTS) in operation from 1985-1992. CTUS became Computer User Support Services (CUSS) from 1993-1995. CUSS became Computing, Technology Information Services (CTIS) in 1996 and in 2009; CTIS became housed under the Office of Information Services and the Vice Chancellor for Information Services. This information is currently the most accurate chain of events constructed by the archival staff; it is subjected to change if new information becomes available.
