The Faculty Affairs Committee collection contains annual reports, minutes, and memoranda from the Faculty Affairs Committee. This collection also houses records from seven subordinate committees of the Faculty Affairs Committee: Faculty Grievance Committee, Faculty Work Load Committee, Grade Appeals Committee, Faculty and Staff Handbook Committee, Faculty Development Committee, the Task Force on Criteria for Creation of New Departments, and Fringe Benefits for Administrative Staff Committee.

Biographical or Historical Information
The Faculty Affairs Committee is a standing committee of the Purdue University Calumet University Senate (also known as Faculty Senate, formerly known as the Council of Faculty Delegates. The Faculty Affairs Committee consists of at least seven, but always an odd number of Senators who advise the University Senate on policies affecting the general welfare, privileges, tenure, and responsibilities of the Purdue University Calumet Faculty. In addition, the Faculty Affairs Committee advises the University Senate on proposed changes in the academic organization of Purdue University Calumet.
