Scope and Contents

The Research and Educational Policy Committee collection contains annual reports, agenda, minutes, memoranda, minutes from the joint meeting between the Agenda Committee and the Research and Educational Policy Committee, an Educational Research Proposal, Proposed Purdue University Calumet Mission Statement, and miscellaneous papers kept and used by the Research and Educational Policy Committee. In addition, the collection contains records from four subordinate committees of the Research and Educational Policy Committee: Committee on Academic Regulations, the Ad hoc Committee to Establish an English Proficiency Exam, the Summer Session Committee, and the Committee on Scholastic Deficiencies and Readmission.

Biographical or Historical Information

The Research and Educational Policy (REP) Committee was a Standing Committee of the Purdue University Calumet University Senate (formerly known as the Council of Faculty Delegates). The Research and Educational Policy Committee was replaced by the Curriculum and Educational Policy (CEP) Committee. The purpose of the Research and Educational Policy Committee was to manage the campus matters related to the plans, functioning, and objectives of the research and educational processes at Purdue University Calumet.
