Scope and Contents

The Library Committee collection contains agenda, minutes, memoranda, joint meeting minutes between the Library Committee and the Student Faculty Library Center Committee, an annual report of activities, and a list of library services. In addition, the collection includes a variety of reports, including, Library Effectiveness, Circulation Use, Mean and Median of Volumes Added, Head Count, Consumer Price Index and Indices, Library Materials Formula, and Library Automation.

Biographical or Historical Information

The Library Committee was a subordinate committee of the Research and Educational Policy Committee, which was a Standing Committee of the Council of Faculty Delegates (University Senate). The Library Committee consisted of Faculty Senators and student members. Committee members researched, reported on, and proposed library policies and materials with the purpose to ensure an adequate research facility for the students and faculty of Purdue University Calumet.
