Biography
A. Joseph Adams was an educator and administrative department head in information systems and engineering at Purdue University Calumet. He initially guest-lectured at the Hammond campus while working in industry before joining the faculty as a full-time professor in 1968. He served as Head of the Department of Information Systems and Computer Programming from 1975 to 1983, and was reappointed as department head in 1987. He retired in 1992 and was named Professor Emeritus, appearing in institutional course catalogs in that capacity through the 1995-1997 edition.
