Scope and Contents

VPGC have been a federated gardening club since 1975. For each of those years they have made a scrapbook of their activities. The VPGC is involved with local county parks in developing gardens (native, pollinator, monarch way station) and maintaining them; gardening education at local libraries; having a Blue Star Memorial placed at on the court house square in Valparaiso honoring all veterans. The VPGC have a yearly fund raiser and the money raised is given to TGCI, and give scholarships to students from Purdue, ISU, Ball State, etc.. Any sophomore working towards a degree in agriculture, landscape architecture, etc., is eligible. They helped to give 17 $1000.00 scholarships. These scrapbooks document these and other activities.
